Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week.
I truly and honestly thought all of my pregnancy weight would be gone 10 months post partum. I did not not lose a single pound since I left the hospital. You are just going to have to believe me. I would not feel more comfortable in maternity shorts than my pre-pregnancy shorts that used to slide right off me. Not me! Do not worry I will not be combing through the contents of the container in a few moments.
And while we are on the topic of maternity clothing. I did not recently purchase a maternity dress because it fit my chest perfectly and I did not wonder why I have not been shopping in this department my entire adult life. This thought did not cross my mind once. My justification is as follows. It is always easier to remove fabric and make smaller in certain areas than it is to add fabric that does not exist and make larger in certain areas, am I right?

I totally understand! I still wore maternity clothing for months after my last one was born. If it makes you feel any better, I wore a maternity skirt yesterday and fully regretted it as I ran around after the kiddos outside and it started sliding down. I was constantly hiking it up. I've lost 24 lbs of the 26 lbs I gained while pregnant. What was I thinking?....
Thanks so much for visiting my Not Me! Monday post and commenting!

I have a maternity jacket I bought when I was pregnant with my son that I still wear, and he's almost four. And sometimes I can still hear my elastic wasteband pants calling my name.
I know your pain, the maternity clothes taunt me from the depths of my closet every time I walk in there, with there comfortable loss fitting ways.
it's ok I'm only 7 weeks into my 2nd pregnancy and the stretchy pants are calling to me. I most certainly did not get them out and wash the last week! ;-)
I love your post! I always buy maternity shirts and dresses - they fit a lot better, and are much more comfy! (Oh, and I've never even been pregnant!).
haha! Stopping by from NMM! I can relate to the "easier to take away fabric than add to!" - I'm 6'1" and would love to pants long enough to hem! haha! (and yes, 6 months post baby #3 finds me not back to my prebaby weight, too! ugh!)
Hi! I wondered over here from mckmama and just had to comment. I discovered I loved some maternity tops when I was pregnant and I too wondered why I did not wear them more because they solved the problem of my chest being a size bigger than the rest of my body. And let me tell you it did not take me more than a year plus a gallbladder surgury to get back down to pre-baby weight!
Great post!
I've never thought anything like that either! Not me!
I am not keeping my maternity clothing handy just in case...oh no....I'm getting rid of it the momemnt I get home from the hospital. Not me!
I totally wear maternity pants all the time. I have them on right now. 10 months after having a baby I thought the same thing... but who cares I am going to be comfortable running after two kids all day!
I did not wear my maternity clothing for months and months and months after the birth of my babies. I was not upset that they did not drop right off my "skinny" little waist but fit perfectly.
I found your blog from MckMama's sight and have fallen in love with that precious boy of yours! He is quite the doll! :) I started from the beginning of your blog and have really enjoyed it! Thanks so much for sharing your stories! Also, I will definitely keep Nathan in my prayers! He seems to be quite the little fighter!
As I don't know what a pg does to your body, yet! I do know that weight gain/loss is a HUGE pain. I would say, wear whatever is comfy, since it is hot outside!

You are totally right - I have a maternity dress and a few tops that I can't part with as they fit perfectly! Hey - that loose top look is in right now!

Amen sister. My problem is I'm keeping pre baby clothes in the hopes I'll get back into them. But now its been so long that their not even in style anymore. Yikes.
I have never been to your blog before. I saw the link on the Rigg's blog. I just have to tell you your son is absolutely adorable! Those eyes are amazaing!!
Cute post! I actually have a maternity dress that I love, and still wear! ;)
Hey, I found your blog through MckMama's... what a great "not me" post! It's so fun to browse through them and get a few chuckles of all the things we "dont do".
I also was going to ask for a bit of help. (this should take less than a minute) I entered my son in a Crazy Haired Baby photo shoot contest. He is in the top 9.. and it's just down to who gets the most votes.
If you could click on this link: http://lucylimestudios.com/2009/07/crazy-haired-kids-casting-call-shannon-stevenson-lucy-lime/
