Airway Clearance Techniques

Over the weekend, my handsome scruffy husband, although to me he is handsome either way, filmed me doing Nathan's treatments. Many of my closest friends are still not quite sure how we spend a large majority of our time. This video portrays a typical morning (weekend) treatment session. During the weekdays I am solo. These treatments are repeated in the evening.

Please note: I increased the speed as much as the video editing software would allow. The original video was 57 minutes long (with antibiotics, it would be 90 minutes). By tripling the speed I was able to cut the video down to a little under 20 minutes. I also added a few captions here and there.

I am not asking you to sit through this entire video. When Nathan was first diagnosed I went straight to You Tube to find out what we were in for. Unfortunately, You Tube will not allow me to publish this video until I can separate it into 10 minute segments. At least I found out that Vimeo has no limitations on length. My hope is that someone, somewhere will find this video useful.

PS. If you make it to the end, try not to laugh. Know that, even though I am good, I am not really this fast.

UPDATE: I originally wanted send you all over to read Ronnie's "Top Ten Reason's I Prefer Hand CPT to the Vest". I am in no way saying that I am giving up fighting with the insurance company to have them cover a Vest for Nathan's but it is nice to know how an adult CFer feels about CPT, especially the fond memories of family members pounding on his chest.
