Yesterday I spent nap time making this Mei Tai (pronounce May - Tie).
Today I spent nap time taking that same Mei Tai apart. Seldom am I satisfied with my first attempt, I will call it my rough draft. My biggest concern was the lightweight cotton fabric I used for the straps, they twisted {and dug into my shoulders}. I didn't feel they were good enough to support my precious cargo, so I ripped the seam apart and removed those straps.
I made a quick run to the store this morning for some heavier weight canvas to fix the straps but when I compared the new brown to the original brown, they didn't match! So I grabbed a scissor and cut out the center of the Mei Tai to save my decorative scraps. Basically the Mei Tai you saw earlier today, here, no longer exists.
The Mei Tai I made today is awesome, padded, and unwrinkled. I do not yet have a picture to post but I will post one tomorrow.

Wow you are amazing. You have inspired me to start on a Belle costume for my daughter for her birthday which is next June but if I want to complete it I am going to have to start now. Wish me luck!
those are to cute. I'm not that creative. The blankies are about the max of my creativeness. They look like they took a while. Can't wait to see Nathan in them.
Seriously.. I just love how talented you are at sewing!! And the things you make?!?! SO cool!

You are so creative! To think you made this without a pattern, too. Way to go!
This is amazing! I would totally buy one of these from you!
Maybe you can give some lessons on how to tie one of these things! I made one but can't seem to tie it appropriately. By the way, this is awesome and it looks great!
