a day of rest

Today I am enjoying a day, or at least a morning, of rest. Yesterday was a bit hectic with Nathan's Christmas photo shoot, the arrival of a snowstorm in New Jersey, and Jay working overtime all day. Don't get me wrong, I love that Jay was scheduled to work on a project yesterday because we definitely need the OT pay but I am so happy that he is upstairs in bed right now.

Nathan's photos came out great. No huge smiles this year but at least we avoided full on screaming. I am in the process of narrowing it down to the official Christmas photo and will be spending a portion of this day of rest addressing Christmas cards.

If the roads improve, we will be attending Jay's family Christmas party this afternoon. If we are snowed in, we will be attending our neighborhood Christmas party. Or maybe we will attend both?

Either way, this morning will be a L-A-Z-Y morning and I am loving it!
